About Icons Genesis

Welcome to Icons Genesis, a family workshop in Greece dedicated to creating authentic handmade Byzantine icons and Orthodox Christian art.

Every icon we create is produced entirely in our own workshop using traditional craftsmanship, carefully selected natural materials, and techniques inspired by centuries of Byzantine artistic heritage. We believe that an icon is far more than a decorative object—it is a sacred work of art that carries faith, history, and spiritual meaning.

Our workshop combines traditional woodworking with artistic craftsmanship to produce unique wooden icons, triptychs, diptychs, iconostases, crosses, and custom Orthodox creations. Every piece is individually handcrafted from solid wood, carefully aged by hand, and assembled with exceptional attention to detail. Since every item is handmade, no two pieces are ever exactly alike, making each creation truly unique.

At Icons Genesis we never use mass production. Every order is prepared individually with respect, patience, and dedication. Many of our works can also be customized in dimensions, iconography, or design to meet the personal wishes of our customers.

Our founder, Alexandros Stratoulis, is a Greek artist and member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece. Together with our small family workshop, we strive to preserve the beauty of Orthodox iconography while creating timeless pieces that can be treasured for generations.
