This handmade wooden Byzantine icon of Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors and all who travel by sea, is lovingly crafted in Greece as a faithful reproduction of an authentic Byzantine prototype.

This unique icon combines a beautifully detailed lithographic depiction of Saint Nicholas saving sailors with an exceptional handcrafted three-dimensional wooden ship featuring fabric sails and a decorative metal chain. This artistic composition symbolizes Saint Nicholas' blessing for safe voyages and calm seas.

Every icon is unique, and even when reproducing the same subject, slight variations may occur due to the handmade craftsmanship.

All of our icons are faithful reproductions of authentic Byzantine prototypes. They are created using high-quality lithographic printing on paper mounted onto canvas, which is then applied to solid fir wood (never MDF). Every piece is enhanced with handcrafted artistic details, our signature artistic aging technique, and protected with eco-friendly water-based varnish for exceptional durability over time.

Each icon is unique and may display slight variations due to the handmade process.
