This religious icon is a faithful reproduction of the Byzantine icon of Saints Peter and Paul.

What makes this piece truly distinctive is its impressive arched top, inspired by Byzantine ecclesiastical architecture, along with its beautifully handcrafted carved wooden frame featuring traditional decorative motifs.

Each Apostle is individually framed with a decorative brass chain, adding elegance and depth to the composition, while the inscription "THE HOLY APOSTLES" at the bottom completes the authentic Byzantine character of the icon.

🔹 Artistic Process

All of our icons are faithful reproductions of authentic Byzantine prototypes. They are created using high-quality lithographic printing on paper mounted onto canvas, which is then applied to solid fir wood (never MDF). Every piece is enhanced with handcrafted artistic details, our signature aging technique, and protected with eco-friendly water-based varnish for exceptional durability over time.

Each icon is unique and may display slight variations due to the handmade process, inviting the faithful to prayerful veneration.

We also use traditional wood-aging techniques and create icons on naturally aged wood for an even more authentic artistic appearance.

🔹 Materials

Solid fir wood, iron, canvas, paper, and, depending on the icon, bronze, copper, fabric, and 8k gold leaf (on selected icons or upon request).

We use only natural solid wood for authenticity and durability. Never MDF.

Each icon is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Alexandros Stratoulis is an official member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece. Every stage of design and artistic finishing is carried out in the GENESIS Workshop using our signature artistic aging technique.

• Refunds are issued only after we receive and inspect the item to confirm that it remains in its original condition.

• In the event of damage to the icon, you will be informed of the restoration cost.
