This handcrafted Orthodox iconostasis is a deeply spiritual work of devotional art, centered on the revered icon of the Virgin Mary Eleousa (Our Lady of Tender Mercy).

The central icon of the Theotokos Eleousa is beautifully framed by the majestic Archangels Michael and Gabriel on the side panels, while the upper arches are adorned with representations of the Six-Winged Seraphim, symbolizing the heavenly hosts surrounding the throne of God.

Designed with elegant arched tops on all three panels and fitted with four antique-style metal hinges, this iconostasis can be either wall-mounted or displayed on any flat surface, making it a beautiful centerpiece for a home prayer corner, chapel, or sacred space.

Please note:
The iconostasis includes a metal hook and a dedicated holder for a hanging vigil lamp. The hanging vigil lamp is not included but can be added as an optional accessory.

All of our icons are faithful reproductions of authentic Byzantine prototypes. They are created using high-quality lithographic printing on paper mounted on canvas, which is then carefully applied to solid fir wood (never MDF). Every icon is individually enhanced with artistic hand-finished details, our signature aging technique, and protected with eco-friendly water-based varnish for exceptional durability and longevity.

Since every piece is entirely handcrafted, slight variations may occur, making each iconostasis truly unique.

According to European legislation, works of art are generally non-returnable.

However, returns are accepted under the following conditions:

• Contact us within 14 days of delivery.
• Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility using the same shipping carrier.
• Refunds are issued only after the artwork has been received and inspected to confirm that it remains in its original condition.
• In the event of damage during return shipping, restoration costs may apply.

🔹 Historical Background

The Virgin Mary Eleousa (Our Lady of Tender Mercy) is one of the most beloved iconographic types in the Orthodox Church. Her feast is commemorated on August 11, in remembrance of the dedication of the church bearing her name.

The Eleousa icon expresses the profound compassion and maternal tenderness of the Mother of God as she lovingly embraces the Christ Child. It is also traditionally associated with the miraculous Life-Giving Spring (Zoodochos Pigi) of Constantinople, renowned since the 5th century for the many healings attributed to the grace of the Theotokos.
