🔹 Product Description

One of the finest creations of our workshop, this iconostasis is inspired by the renowned icon of Christ Pantocrator from the Holy Monastery of Saint Catherine at Mount Sinai. This particular composition, featuring the Theotokos, has long been one of our best-selling works abroad, with more than 2,000 sales.

The central section of the iconostasis is dedicated to the Theotokos and is framed by two opening side doors. Each icon is surrounded by an ornate carved wooden frame, while two carved crosses dominate the exterior of the doors. Inside, above the icons, the inscription “ΑΡΧΩ” is carved, giving the piece a special symbolic and spiritual character.

Each side door includes two carefully selected sacred icons:

Left door: Christ Pantocrator and Archangel Gabriel

Right door: Saint John the Forerunner and Archangel Michael

The carved wooden base is designed to hold a small glass oil lamp, making this piece ideal for home icon corners and prayer spaces.

The iconostasis also includes two small triptychs placed on the base:

• The Nativity of Christ with Archangels Michael and Gabriel

• The Crucifixion of Christ

These additional sacred scenes enrich the spiritual symbolism and theological depth of the entire composition.

You can also create your own personalized set. We craft iconostases and triptychs with Saints or themes of your choice. Simply contact us, and we will design your own unique creation together.

🔹 Artistic Process

All of our icons are faithful reproductions of authentic Byzantine prototypes. They are created using high-quality lithographic printing on paper mounted onto canvas, which is then carefully adhered to solid fir wood (never MDF). Each piece is individually enhanced by hand using our signature aging technique and protected with an eco-friendly water-based varnish for maximum durability over time.

Because each piece is handmade, every iconostasis is unique and may present slight variations that enhance its individual character.

Solid fir wood, iron, canvas, paper, and, depending on the design, bronze, copper, fabric, and 8-karat gold leaf (used on selected icons or upon request).

We use only solid natural wood for authenticity and durability — never MDF.

Every icon is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Alexander Stratoulis is an official member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece. All design and finishing work is carried out in the GENESIS workshop using our signature artistic aging technique.
